Trail of Painted Ponies

The Trail of Painted Ponies began in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2001 as a public art project intended to promote cultural tourism, showcase the artistic community in the Southwest, and raise money for worthwhile philanthropic organizations, accomplished all it's goals. The Trail of Painted Ponies enchanted hundreds of thousands of people, produced dazzling artwork, and raised almost a million dollars for youth, arts, social, animal and environmental organizations. They are now located in Arizona.

Fancy Dancer

Price: $6,000.
This 2' tall original Masterwork was created by artist Devon Archer to honor the Fancy Dance, the Plains tribe’s war and victory dance. Their outfits are traditionally composed of lots of bright colors, metallic beads, sequins and ribbons. It was in the "Native Art of Horse Painting" competition.
