Trail of Painted Ponies

The Trail of Painted Ponies began in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2001 as a public art project intended to promote cultural tourism, showcase the artistic community in the Southwest, and raise money for worthwhile philanthropic organizations, accomplished all it's goals. The Trail of Painted Ponies enchanted hundreds of thousands of people, produced dazzling artwork, and raised almost a million dollars for youth, arts, social, animal and environmental organizations. They are now located in Arizona.

Crazy Horse

Price: $40,000.
This life-size pony was created in memory of the Lakota war leader Crazy Horse by artist CJ Wells. Crazy Horse fought to protect the Lakota way of life. No photographs of Crazy Horse exist, but with this Pony CJ Wells, a Native “artist warrior” herself, has given him a high-voltage interpretation.
